Event Description

Forward looking organizations and the lead role of managers are the two sides of the same coin.

Improving leadership and management capability is an issue that no organisation wishing to achieve long-term success can afford to ignore. There is no question that good leadership and management can have a truly significant impact on organisational performance, both in the immediate and longer term.

This week in Barcelona offers you a unique opportunity to become the dreamed charismatic leader that reflects on the effects of Public Service Motivation, intra-institutional networks, public-private cooperation and the role of management in public administrations. How you can be the transformational leader that enables you and your team to keep up with the needed changes and how you can be a digital leader in order to detect key drivers of digital transformation, manage knowledge, create insights and optimize business value in the digital ecosystem, discovering innovative capabilities.

We will bridge the gap between how our public sectors are, and how the interests of the citizens need them to be now and in the future. We will be combining theory with concrete case studies, meetings with leaders in the public sector and the elaboration of plans of action to ensure you are successful in your growth development efforts in your public organization.

The EIPA Forum is a rigorous, innovative programme designed to provide a portfolio of knowledge, skills and individual awareness that will help you to become a more effective leader.

How will it help you?
You will understand the antecedents of Public Service Motivation, its’ effects, and how to improve it in your environment. The importance of intra-institutional networks and the how to make them sustainable. We will give examples and learn from the best on good practices when dealing with public-private cooperation and how to enhance the role of management in your public administration.

The main objective of the programme is the integral development of your knowledge and skills in order to allow for a substantial improvement in the process of detecting the key challenges for you own administration. The BHAP (Back at home action plan) will be developed during the Forum (4 days) and aims at stimulating participants in the programme to think about how they will put into practice in their own organisations the newly gained knowledge.

Who will benefit most?
Any public servant willing to step up his career, to better define his role within the team, upgrade his performance, be ready to take on new challenges and gain confidence in his professional activity. You will be updated on new concepts, tools and methodologies of public management.
