Take part in our programme development!
There are two ways you can help shape the conference programme: submit an abstract or take part in our abstract review process.

Open to members and non-members.

1) Submit an abstract

Closing: 4 April 2018

The call for general abstracts is for authors/organisations who would like to present their work at the conference and let other participants learn from their expertise.

The call for scientific abstracts is for authors/organisations who would like to present their work at the conference and have it published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.

2) Abstract review process

9 April – 2 May 2018

WindEurope members and the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE) peer review abstracts in their field of expertise. If you are a member of WindEurope and would like to take part in the review, email conference@windeurope.org by 1st March.

Note: an application form will be available as of January in the Members’ Area of WindEurope’s website.

WindEurope will publish the final programme schedule and invite those selected to give oral and poster presentations in late May / early June.

The Global Wind Summit: a conference developed “by the industry, for the industry”

By the industry: The call for abstracts and peer-review process by WindEurope and EAWE members ensures a unique blend of relevant academic and industry content giving you the latest developments in the sector, from lab to field.

For the industry: The conference is where players across the wind energy sector, from industry and academia, can exchange ideas and experience to the benefit of the sector as a whole.

We keep sales pitches out of the conference programme (they have a better home on the exhibition floor) and don’t sell speaking slots, as commercial event organisers would.

All the revenue generated from our events is reinvested in services to the wind industry, so that you still benefit long after the event has ended.
