The European Commission is preparing a make-or-break “year of delivery” on its flagship Energy Union strategy, with a steady stream of proposals expected in 2016.
One of the legislative packages will deal with energy savings, with a revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and new legislation on heating and cooling expected in the autumn. In the meanwhile, the International Energy Agency (IEA) says efficiency measures should be seen as the “world’s first fuel”.
EurActiv Institute invites you to this workshop to look forward to the upcoming EU proposals and energy efficiency. Questions will include:
- Where does energy efficiency feature in the Energy Union? Is it receiving sufficient political attention?
- Are Member States ready to play ball?
- How can the EU energy efficiency targets be attained?
We will also reveal the #EurActory40 ranking of #EnergyEfficiency experts…you might be one of them!
