Event Description
“Promoting new forms of collaboration with industry and investments in strategic value chains are essential” (citation Green Deal dated December 2019).
However, time is running fast and a cross-sectoral collaboration is imperative in order to achieve a common cross-sectoral strategy on the topic of water.
The 16th EWA Brussels Conference will show some of the interdisciplinary initiatives and you can have first access to this process.
Session 1 on “European Legislation and Initiatives” will show which strategy the European Commission has chosen to implement its legislation and how to fund the existing and new water policies, as well as the role water has in the taxonomy regulation.
Session 2 on “Circular Water / Integrated Water Resource Management” will show the Commission’s expectations to the Revision of the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive and the European legal road map on the circular uptake of raw materials from waste water.
In Session 3 on Protection of the Water Resources, the conference will elaborate on the strategies to guard the existing water resources. The views from both DG Agriculture as well as DG Environment will be elaborated.
Finally, in Session 4, a show case of Climate Adaptation Strategies from the Commission will be shown.
