Section
Event Description
The new Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability, part of the EU’s zero pollution ambition, puts chemicals and their further management as a EU Commission’s top priority and key commitment to achieve its European Green Deal plan objectives. As such, the Strategy will aim to protect citizens and the environment, as well as boosting the innovation for safe and sustainable chemicals.
The widespread use of chemicals will undoubtedly increase in the near future and therefore their presence in consumer products, including home appliances. The ambition of this webinar is to unveil the EU Institutions’ view on how the Strategy will achieve its main objectives, while building a more circular economy and establishing sustainability guidelines for all products. It will also gather sectoral positions and recommendations from relevant industries to reach a synergistic effect between the Strategy and the chemical, product and waste policies.
