Event Description
With approximately 4000 experts expected this year, the ESPEN Congress 2019 is the natural home for the ESPEN-ONCA-MNI joint session featuring Optimal Nutritional Care for All.
Putting the patient at the centre of healthcare, this annual appointment will present latest trends in assuring quality medical nutrition support for patients at home.
After a welcome from Rocco Barazzoni, ESPEN Chair, and Stanislaw Klek, POLSPEN representative, delegates will learn about patients’ needs and concerns from Marek Lichota, and will get latest science-based recommendations to advance nutritional care for patients at home from Prof. Stephan C. Bischoff – ESPEN Guideline officer.
The Joint Session will also be the opportunity to get up to speed on the pan-European campaign on Optimal Nutritional Care for All with fresh insights from Frank de Man and Joost Wesselink.
A representative from the Polish Ministry of Health will join the discussion to inform delegates on nutritional care programme in Poland.
The MNI Grant winner 2019 will be announced by MNI President, Fernando Mateus, at the end of the session.
