The European Commission published on the 5th of May 2021 its updated Industrial Strategy: Building a stronger Single Market for Europe’s Recovery. The Communication recalls the lessons learned from the crisis and lays out the main policy priorities under three main strands, i.e. strengthening Single Market resilience, dealing with Europe’s strategic dependencies and accelerating the twin transitions.
The new strategy has the opportunity to foster the development and adoption of key technologies (e.g. additive manufacturing) in the different industrial ecosystems indicated by the European Commission.

Corporate Manager, Renishaw plc & Chairman of Additive Manufacturing Committee, CECIMO
Stewart joined Renishaw plc in 2000 and has held a number of positions in the company, including General Manager of Renishaw’s UK and Ireland sales subsidiary and the Group’s Corporate Business Development Manager. He is currently the Sales Director of Renishaw’s French subsidiary based in Paris and is also a non-executive director of the UK’s Manufacturing Technology Association. During this time he was instrumental in establishing Renishaw’s Additive Manufacturing customer solution centres and setting up strategic alliances with other Additive Manufacturing and in Paris companies. Since 2018, Stewart has been Chairman of the Additive Manufacturing Committee at CECIMO.
PANTEA KHANSHAGHAGHI

Pantea Khanshaghaghi is a Project Leader in business development at Equinor. A commercial professional with experience leading and mentoring innovation projects. Inspired by turning the challenge of getting to net zero into opportunities, she is applying circular economy approach to unlock value in additive manufacturing. She holds a master’s degree in finance from SBU, Tehran.

Regional Director EMEA at EOS
As the Regional Director EMEA since September 2017, Davide is responsible for the Area Sales business in Europe, Middle East, Africa and also South America and managing the European EOS subsidiaries in France, Italy, UK and Sweden. Since 2020 Davide has established a new department with the aim to further focus on the indirect sales business with Partners and Distributors in EMEA as a crucial pillar of EOS’ Go-To-Market Strategy. Prior to joining EOS, Davide had 15 years of experience in the Automotive Industry and held various global functions in Marketing & Sales and Project Management in companies such as Bosch and Continental. Davide has Dipl. Ing. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
ULLA ENGLEMANN
Acting Director for Networks and Governance, DG GROW, European Commission
Ulla Engelmann is acting director for Networks and Governance in DG GROW, the Directorate General being responsible for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, at the European Commission. Her portfolio covers skills, services, industrial forum, alliances, EEN (Enterprise Europe Network), clusters and market surveillance. In previous functions, her unit was responsible Social Economy, women entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education. She worked at the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the in-house science service of European Commission. She started in the JRC in Ispra (Italy) in 1993 as a post-doc in fusion research, and moved on to manage various units (communication, international relations, and others) in Ispra and Brussels. Dr. Engelmann holds a PhD in analytical and radiochemistry completed at the National Research Centre in Karlsruhe.

Policy Officer, DG GROW, European Commission
Maurits Pino is a Dutch economist. He worked as case handler in the European Commission, Directorate-General Competition in antitrust, cartels and State aid control. Since 2019 Mr Pino works in the European Commission’s Directorate for the Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship & SMEs (DG GROW). Initially, he worked as a Desk Officer for the Netherlands and Belgium. Recently, Mr Pino moved to the “Strategy and regulation: single market and industrial policy” unit within DG GROW.
