Event Description
At the Gender x Geopolitics conference, we will bring together experts and stakeholders to discuss the gender dimension in foreign and security policy, with a focus on representation and its reflection in policies.
The goal of this conference is threefold: The first panel will explore why women are underrepresented in decision-making roles and politics and what is needed to address these deficits to create more comprehensive and sustainable policies that benefit society as a whole. In the second panel, we dive more concretely into the role of women in security and find out why more and more countries in the EU are adopting gender-just or feminist foreign policies. The conference will be completed by a closed-door working group for a more gender-just foreign and security EU policy.
