Wednesday, 26 September 2012, 10:00–18:00 - Frankfurt Messe, Germany
Open to all registered participants of the 27th EU PVSEC
As solar photovoltaic electricity matures into a mainstream energy source and as governments phase out incentives for renewables, the PV industry is weathering a period of consolidation in the short-term. Nevertheless, its prospects for medium- and long-term growth remain strong.
In times of uncertainty, investors dislike uncontrolled risk: How will they respond to the current PV industry and market evolutions? How can the availability of affordable capital be ensured? Can public financing bodies contribute to that objective? Which investments need to be made in manufacturing? How can the industry improve the perception of future PV development and continue to put innovative products on the market? These are among the key questions to be addressed at the Investors Day event.
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural edition, this year’s Investors Day will feature CEO-level speakers from the industry as well as representatives from banks, investment funds, insurance companies and analysts in interactive sessions exploring how the finance world sees the PV industry. As PV technology nears competitiveness in several new markets, the event will also look at the financing of projects – large-scale plants and retail projects – in the post Feed-in Tariff era.
As an official event of the 27th EU PVSEC, the Investors Day is jointly organised by EPIA and the EU PVSEC.
