Event Description
The Power & Care conference, is a two and a half day Mind and Life Dialogue of leading experts with the Dalai Lama from September 9-11, 2016, at the Bozar Center for Fine Arts in Brussels.
How can power and care be fruitfully allied, and engender projects and actions that promote the flourishing of living beings and of our environment? Discover original ways of understanding human nature and social reality. Explore ways to balance power and care at individual and organizational levels.
Program
The program includes perspectives from the natural sciences, anthropology, psychology, politics, economics and the world’s contemplative traditions. A selection of experiential workshops will enable participants to work on the dynamics of power and care within themselves. An artistic performance will be offered on the first evening.

Speakers include, amongst others, H.H. the Dalai Lama, Matthieu Ricard, Ph.D.; Jane Goodall, Ph.D., DBE.; Prof. Sir Paul Collier; Dr Vandana Shiva; Prof. Dr Tania Singer; Prof. Frans B. M. de Waal, Ph.D.; Olafur Eliasson; and Frédéric Laloux.
