Event Description

The European Institute of Women’s Health (EIWH) will hold the launch event of the Women's Health Interest Group at the European Parliament, hosted by MEP Tilly Metz (Greens/EFA, LU).

This hybrid event will take place on 23 October from 10.00 – 11.00 CET, at the European Parliament (room 5E1) and online.

Come and be part of this empowering community as we strive to improve women's health and well-being!

The establishment of the Women's Health Interest Group comes as a pivotal step towards effectively shaping an EU Strategy for Women’s Health and advocating for gender equity in health issues across Europe. By bringing together key stakeholders, policymakers, experts, and advocates, this interest group aims to drive meaningful change in the landscape of women's health.

The objective of establishing the Women’s Health Interest Group is to embed women’s health in the work of the European Parliament by uniting a diverse group of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to promote the best possible access to prevention, treatment and healthcare for all women in Europe

During the event, speakers will raise awareness of the need for gender equity across the healthcare continuum, from the design of the research protocol and health technology assessment, to open discussion and focus on women’s health issues and unmet health needs.

Day and Time: 23rd October – 10:00 – 11:00 CET
Location: Hybrid event at the European Parliament (room 5E1)
