Event Description
The Youth Entrepreneurship Award, now in its sixth edition, aims to recognise young people who have chosen to become entrepreneurs, and aims to foster entrepreneurship in Europe.
The winner will be revealed at AmCham EU’s Gala evening on Wednesday, 16 May 2018.
The winner receives 10,000 euros and mentorship from AmCham EU’s top European CEOs. This year's finalists include:
- Bioo - Pablo Vidarte (Spain)
Bioo is a unique technology, which generates electricity from plants. - BT-InnoVaChem - Federica Sabuzi (Italy)
BT-InnoVaChem is a high-efficiency antimicrobial agent, never used before. - Deemly - Sara Green Brodersen (Denmark)
Deemly is a reputation and social verification software layer for online communities and sharing economy businesses increasing trust, activity and revenue. - Grow Green - Irene Andreou (Cyprus)
GrowGreen is a biodegradable flower pot made from used coffee grounds, aimed to eliminate the use of plastic pots and by extension reduce carbon dioxide emission while reducing food waste at the same time. - Liight - Santiago Jimenez Cortes (Spain)
Liight is an app that motivates people to be more sustainable in daily routines. Through gamification and smart city system we encourage people to use the public transport, ridding bike and recycling.
