The ‘EHPM Guidelines for food supplement companies on the management of adverse event reports’ are a comprehensive tool, providing FBOs with the necessary guidelines for guaranteeing an efficient management of adverse events reports. With these guidelines EHPM would like to suggest a system applicable to food supplements that would allow companies, including SMEs, to put in place a post-market vigilance system in their own business. These guidelines took also into consideration the already existing mandatory or voluntary National post-market vigilance systems, such as the French and the Italian ones.
The Official Launch Event of the EHPM Guidelines is another milestone in EHPM proactive approach to promote a structured and transparent exchange between decision makers, industry representatives and stakeholders on this critical subject. On this occasion, National Authorities and companies will present their experiences and perspectives and attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a constructive dialogue on post-market vigilance systems for food supplements.
