Brussels, 18/06/2026 – The 2nd European Bioeconomy Conference organised by logos in collaboration with Cepi will take place on 19 November 2026 at Sparks, Brussels, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders and innovators under the theme: “Ensuring Europe's strategic autonomy in bio-based industries”  
Held one year after the launch of the EU Bioeconomy Strategy, the conference will focus on strengthening Europe’s strategic autonomy in bio-based industries and accelerating the transition towards a competitive and sustainable bioeconomy. 
Key discussion topics
The programme will address the most pressing challenges and opportunities shaping Europe’s bioeconomy: 
  • Securing sustainable bio-resources
    How to ensure reliable and responsible biomass supply to support industrial scale-up. 
  • Building a competitive bio-based economy 
    Creating the right regulatory, economical and innovative conditions to bring bio-based solutions to market. 
  • From sectoral strengths to system-wide solutions 
    Dedicated sessions will explore key value chains, including: 
    agriculture and food systems, bioenergy, circularity and the role of recycling, and fibre-based textiles.  
  • Global competitiveness and trade dynamics 
    Addressing opportunities and risks for emerging bio-based sectors in an increasingly competitive global landscape. 
     
From strategy to action
Through high-level panels and interactive sessions, participants will exchange insights and co-develop concrete pathways to turn EU policy ambitions into industrial reality. The conference aims to bridge the gap between strategy and implementation, driving practical solutions across the bioeconomy ecosystem.
