The scourge of Fake News has disrupted our political and social life as never before. President Trump has constantly criticized the mainstream media while Russia and other authoritarian states are using fake news as a priority PR weapon. The media industry is also one of the most affected by the on-going technological upheaval. Is the role of the gatekeeper gone? How are media companies in Asia and Europe coping with the change in news consumption? What is being done by tech companies and news organisations to ensure the accurate and responsible distribution of information? What can regulators from the EU and Asia do to improve the situation?
