ALDE Party Stakeholder Series Event with Microsoft: What's next for the DMA?
Section
Event Description
ALDE Party together with Microsoft will host the next Stakeholder Series Event, where we bring together stakeholders from the public and private sector to discuss key European policy topics, on 12 October at 9:30 CEST.
This event will focus on the predicted final text of the European Commission’s Digital Markets Act (‘DMA’) proposal, launched at the end of 2020. While some call for new tools for market investigations to allow for further analysis, others see regulatory dialogue as an obstacle opening the doors to lengthy, drawn-out processes.
Come and help us examine the merits and pitfalls of including enhanced regulatory dialogue in the compliance process. How can regulatory dialogue help enforcers, gatekeepers and affected third parties identify compliance solutions that reflect the DMA's core objectives of contestability and fairness? Is it possible to achieve a balance between achieving rapid compliance and achieving effective compliance?
This and many more questions will be answered during our event with speaker Ondřej Kovařík MEP.
