Event Description
On the 20th of June 2017, Brussels will become the capital of Flavour. EFFA, together with Aroma (the Belgian Flavour Association) and IOFI (the International Organization of the Flavor Industry) are organising an event to tell the flavourings story in a practical and engaging way
The role of flavourings in our food’s future
For the first time, the national, European and global levels are working together in a big event to highlight the important role of flavourings in the challenges and opportunities of the future. We will explore how they can meet consumer’s expectations and policy maker’s goals at the same time, by offering products that are at the same time responsible and delicious.
We will have a look at the consumer trends for the coming years, with a focus on some key topics: conscious diet, sustainability and creativity. We will explore these topics with a trend watcher’s inspiring speech and an interactive panel, followed with ateliers in which the attendees will be able to live the flavouring experience themselves, become flavourist for a day and go home with their own unique product.
The main target of this event are customers, other food industry associations and policy makers, but we expect our message to reach also a wider public through the video of the event and its coverage in media and social profiles.
This will be only the beginning of a series of events about flavourings in Europe, so be prepared to find the Flavour Day logo again in London (21st of September – Centenary gala), Paris (16th of November - Flavourings: unravel the true from the false), Berlin and many more.
You will find more information in the programme below.
