Event Description

EuroHeat & Power and Dalkia invite to the event :
"Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 and heating networks: EU grants vs innovative financial instruments for the financing of energy infrastructures"

The event will be a part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (http://eusew.eu/)

The objective of the conference is to bring together European decision-makers who decide about the future of EU funding for heating networks and cogeneration, and practitioners who may use these grants and financial instruments, such as representatives of energy companies and local authorities. Our aim is to better understand the functioning of those EU grants and financial instruments in practice and also to confront the points of views of various stakeholders, as regards advantages and drawbacks of the use of both subsidies and innovative financial tools for the development of energy infrastructures in Europe.

The conference will tackle the following issues:
What is the impact of EU funds allocated to district heating network and cogeneration projects on EU energy strategy?
What are the needs of EU funding in the energy sector for 2014-2020?
What is included in the cohesion policy 2014-2020 in regards to the funding of urban district heating networks and cogeneration?
Which new innovative financial instruments will be available to fund DHN and CHP? What are their advantages and drawbacks?
To what extent should EU grants remain the main funding tool for investment projects in the energy sector?
