Event Description
European Business Summit, Europe's key meeting place for business leaders and decision makers, where Business and Politics Shape the Future. Every year, the EBS attracts more than 1,500 participants from over 60 countries, including: European Commissioners, Prime Ministers, high-ranking individuals and about 200 journalists. The next summit will take place on 14-15 May 2014 in Brussels.
The theme for EBS 2014 is: "The Business Agenda 2014-2019: Rebuilding a Competitive Europe".
2014 will be a year of political changes. The European Parliament elections will take place just one week after the Summit, with the new Commission appointments in the autumn, as well as a series of local and national elections.
EBS 2014 presents a significant opportunity for business leaders to present their priorities - looking beyond the crisis and towards a more competitive and better-functioning Europe.
The summit is:
- focused on encouraging business leaders to engage more with EU policy makers.
- European in terms of business speakers and participation in order to develop a real pan-EU business dialogue.
- dynamic in the issues it tackles and its associated studies/surveys.
