Event Description
Tuesday 10 October | 12.30-13.00 networking lunch, 13.00-14.30 interactive discussion
APCO Worldwide Offices, Rue Montoyer 47, 5th Floor, 1000 Brussels
You are warmly invited to an APCO Forum event on EU global health diplomacy. Even before the start of the pandemic, the EU aspired to increase its weight in shaping global health policy by adopting a new EU Global Health Strategy, with the aim to steer the global community more effectively through both the WHO and the UN. The EU is now seeking to take the mantle of global health leadership, having identified global health as an area where it can wield its usually fragmented influence through a one voice, one strategy, Team Europe approach.
We hope you can join us for an insightful discussion on the future of EU diplomacy in global health.
Joining us are Ines Prainsack, Member of Cabinet of the Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakides, István Ujhelyi, Member of the European Parliament (S&D, Hungary) and Oxana Domenti, WHO Representative to the European Union.
Our discussion will be moderated by Lily Reisser, Deputy Managing Director for APCO Worldwide’s Brussels office.
The networking lunch will offer a great opportunity to personally meet our guests, and there will be plenty of time at the end of the discussion for your questions.
The invitation is personal, but feel free to share it with your colleagues internally if of interest.
We look forward to seeing you there!
There will be a photographer and videographer present at our event, and you may be included in the images. The photos and videos may be used for archival, educational, or promotional purposes.
