ChinaEU, an official co-organiser of Startup Europe Week 2018, has chosen the International Women's Day to hold an event entitled "Hi-Tech Entrepreneurs in the Chinese Startup Scene: Empowered by Women in Tech", to take place on 8 March at 18:00-20:30 in Brussels.
The event will be held at at BeCentral, a very popular new co-working space in the heart of Brussels (https://www.becentral.org/) - and will bring together an audience of Belgian/European startups to learn from and network with Shenzhen's European Office for Trade and Investment, Fosun Group and the China-Belgium Technology Center, who will be presenting existing programs and initiatives in place to support European entrepreneurs to move to China or find investors/business partners there.
Opening the session will be Mr Andrey Novakov, the youngest Member of the European Parliament, Mr Laurent Hublet, Former Advisor to Belgian Deputy Minister & Minister for Telecommunications and Digital Agenda Alexander de Croo and now Co-Founder & Managing Director of BE CENTRAL, and Mr Yang Xiaoguang, Counsellor of the Chinese Mission to the EU.
Presentations by the Chinese speakers will be followed by remarks by representatives of Startups.be - the association of Belgian startups - and European Startup Network - the network of 24 startup associations across Europe.
The event will be followed by a small reception, where guests will be able to further network in the company of some good Qingdao beer and Chinese xiaoshi (finger food).
