A thorough understanding of the procedures of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), the CJEU’s practices and case law are quintessential to successfully litigate before the Court. During the seminar you will learn the insights and actions to be entertained before the Court of Justice of the European Union. Enhance your knowledge on the CJEU, the procedures before the CJEU.
The seminar will focus on the various actions entertained before the Court of Justice of the European Union, and will give a distinguished attention to preliminary references coming from national courts and direct actions before the CJEU and. The seminar will tackle in particular the infringement procedures commenced by the European Commission and annulment actions where private parties may challenge EU law.
The seminar will also focus on the annulment actions entertained before the Court of Justice of the European Union the only procedure where private individuals are parties before the CJEU and can directly challenge EU acts. The seminar will specifically tackle the standing rules applicable for private individuals to become parties of the proceeding. Due account will be taken what EU acts can be challenged before the CJEU and the standing rules applicable to EU agencies.
