Organised by the Whole Grain Initiative, the event will bring together policymakers, experts, and industry to explore how education can promote whole grain consumption among children and younger people. The first panel discussion will focus on the importance of encouraging nutritious and sustainable food habits, including whole grain, from childhood. In the second panel, experts will discuss the need for further education and enabling measures that make it easy to incorporate whole grain into young people’s diets.
The event will be moderated by Natasha Foote.
Speakers include representatives of the following organisations: Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), FoodDrinkEurope, Marco Springmann (Oxford University, EAT-Lancet 2.0 Commission), Rockefeller Foundation Africa, University of Copenhagen, International Association for Cereal Science and Technology.
