Unleash Opportunity Webinar: Climate Risk and Resilience for Women in the Agricultural Sector
Section
Agriculture & Food
Event Location
Brussels
Event Description
Gender equality is beneficial for businesses, farmers and the primary production sector as a whole. But with restricted access to technology and as the primary providers of food and fuel, women are disproportionately impacted by climate change. Promoting gender equality is not only necessary from a human rights perspective, it can support a climate-resilient business model and according to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) it can contribute to increased yields.
This webinar will:
• Explore the challenges and vulnerabilities faced by women working in primary production
• Present the business case for integrating a gender lens into supply chain operations
• Provide practical tips on how to cascade gender equality across the supply chain
