Event Description
The YO! Fest is the annual Youth Festival organised by the European Youth Forum with debates, workshops and music. It mobilises youth organisations and other civil society partners as well as thousands of people for a cause concerning young people in Europe. This year it is the fourth edition and we will be claiming youth as important actors in relaunching European Democracy. The Festival this year is happening in the frame of the European Youth Week and will include the launch the League of Young Voters to mobilise young people during the electoral campaign for the European Elections 2014 and celebrate 25 Years of EU Programmes for Youth.
We are pleased to announce that among the events foreseen within the Yo!Fest, Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council will close the European Citizens Picnic at the Esplanade on the Thursday 30th of May, around 15h00.
On the same day, around 19h, Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands together with President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso will address the public to launch the League of Young Voters. The League of Young Voters in Europe is a politically neutral initiative that aims to amplify young people’s concerns and expectations in the run-up to European elections.
For more information and the full program please see the Yo!Fest webpage.
In the coming weeks, you will receive more information on our event. In the meantime, do not hesitate in contact us to get further information.
