On Wednesday, 15 February 2017 the 7th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference is taking place in Brussels. A comprehensive programme awaits all interested parties, highlighting current challenges and innovative solutions regarding the implementation of sustainable supply chains.
After the great success of the ISCC Global Sustainability Conferences in previous years, ISCC is very much looking forward to an illuminating upcoming conference. This important annual ISCC Conference is open to all interested parties and has been established as an important platform for industry, trade, NGOs, associations, research and authorities to present and discuss recent developments, challenges, opportunities and emerging trends in sustainability and sustainability certification. More than 170 participants are expected.
Policy and Regulation
The focus of this conference will be on the decarbonisation and implementation of the Paris COP21 Agreement and its resulting policies and regulations. Further, Member States aspirations regarding renewable energy in the transport sector until 2020 and beyond will be discussed.
Innovative Solutions for Practical Implementation
Success stories and innovative solutions with respect to sustainability implementation will be shared, such as no ILUC biofuels from the sugarcane sector and from European corn. Moreover, innovative solutions to implement sustainable food supply chains as well as the latest remote sensing technology to verify zero deforestation will be presented.
