Event Description
Skills and labour shortages are a topic of growing predominance and concern for employers and policymakers across Europe. They risk hampering economic growth and job creation while also limiting labour market participation.
As we get back to work after the summer break, the World Employment Confederation-Europe invites EU stakeholders to get together and gear up for the second half of the mandate of the current European Commission.
On 21 September, we'll hear from Joost Korte, Director General of DG Employment and Social Affairs at the European Commission, who will address the current and upcoming EU employment and social affairs agenda. Our Managing Director Denis Pennel will present labour market analysis and policy recommendations recently developed by the private employment services industry in order to 'make better matches' and help to reduce labour and skills shortages in Europe.
