Event Description
On 20 March from 18:30 to 22:00, join EUROCITIES for a public event at the Vaudeville Theatre in Brussels on ‘The city - a woman’s place’ and how can we make sure that cities are places where women thrive
As part of EUROCITIES second mayors summit, the debate will feature Anna König Jerlmyr (president of EUROCITIES and mayor of Stockholm), Ada Colau (mayor of Barcelona), Johanna Rolland (mayor of Nantes), and Emily O’Reilly (European Ombudsman) as well as a debate with the audience and respondents such as Rafal Trzaskowski, mayor of Warsaw.
The debate will allow the speakers to share personal stories with the audience on how they reached their positions, what helped them and what barriers they had to overcome. And we will exchange on these women’s achievements and the support they have given to promoting equality, and how we can make a difference in the future.
Interested in the event? Please register here by 14 March.
Please note that if you are a EUROCITIES member and have already registered for the summit, you don’t need to register again for this session.
If you have any questions, please contact Sinéad Mullins (sinead.mullins@eurocities.eu).
