Journalistes, parlementaires et représentants associatifs témoigneront de leurs expériences de visites. Seront ensuite présentés à l’ensemble des parlementaires les enjeux de l'accès aux centres de détention à travers les interventions du Comité européen pour la prévention de la torture et de l'Association pour la prévention de la torture.
L’objectif de cette campagne et des visites parlementaires est de renforcer la vigilance, de souligner la nécessaire transparence de ces dispositifs, et de donner plus de visibilité aux problèmes liés à la détention des migrants afin d'inciter les responsables politiques européens à encourager l’évolution des législations européenne et nationale pour les rendre exigeantes en matière de respect des droits de l'Homme.
La mobilisation parlementaire aura été présentée aux députés européens lors d'une réunion de 13h à 14h30 2013 en salle PHS 1 C 51.

Launch of the Open Access Campaign 2013
Wednesday, 24th April, from 2.30pm to 3pm, room ASP 5 G 2, EP BXL

Journalists, MPs and representatives of organizations will testify about their experiences during their visits to detention centres. The stakes involved in accessing these detention centres will then be presented to all MPs, through the statements of the European committee for the prevention of torture and of the Association for the prevention of torture.
The objective of this meeting and of these parliamentary visits is to reinforce scrutiny, to underline the necessary transparency of these measures and to give greater visibility to the problems linked to migrant detention in order to urge European politicians encourage the evolution of national and European legislation in order to make them more demanding for the respect of human rights.
A round table presenting the 2013 Campaign to the MEPs will be held from 1pm to 2.30pm, room PHS 1 C 51.
