Event Description
Dear Colleague,
on behalf of GSMA Europe, I am pleased to invite you to our event “A Taste of Mobile World Congress 2016” that will be held on Wednesday 6 April from 16:30 to 18:30 at the GSMA Europe offices in Brussels.
This year, the Congress attracted more than 100,000 visitors, more than 2000 exhibiting companies and Government delegations from over 200 countries to discuss key industry trends. Numerous EU officials attended the event, contributed to the discussions and enriched the debate on the future of digital communications.
While we will not be able to recreate the full Mobile World Congress experience in Brussels, we would be delighted if you were able to join us for an insight into what went on, and to discover the key trends and developments that were identified and showcased.
“A Taste of Mobile World Congress 2016” will draw on the insights of EU institutional representatives and industry experts who attended this year’s event. It will be a participative session, moderated by Philippe Defraigne, Director of Cullen International, with all attendees encouraged to express their views on the key conference theme: Mobile is Everything.
Due to the limited number of places available, we recommend you confirm your attendance as soon as possible and, in any case, before Friday 1 April.
We look forward to seeing you there, and hope you can also stay on afterwards for the cocktail reception that will follow the session.

Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are an indispensable part of civil society. However, NGO influence on policymaking is not always positive. A large number of well-connected NGOs explicitly aim to influence EU trade and investment policymaking.
