The Stockholm programme will come to an end on 31 December 2014. In line with article 68 of the TFEU, the European Council will have to put forward strategic guidelines to follow on from this programme.
The CESI@noon aims to trigger an open and frank debate on the future steps to implement a European area of freedom, security and justice. Moderation will be assured by Yves Pascouau, EPC Senior Policy Analyst. Top European decision makers and experts take part in the round table, including: Mr Telmo Baltazar, Cabinet of Commissioner Reding, responsible for the “Post-Stockholm Process”, Mr Filippo Colombo, Justice and Home Affairs Coordinator, Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union, Mr Roland Genson, Director, DG D2 Justice and Home Affairs, General Secretariat of the Council of the EU, and Ms Floriana Sipala, European Commission, DG Home Affairs, Head of Unit for Strategic policy, interinstitutional relations and agencies. The event will also be the occasion for CESI to present a Resolution on “Putting the worker back at the heart of future strategic guidelines in terms of freedom, security and justice”.
The open event will take place at the CESI premises, Avenue de la Joyeuse Entrée 1-5, 1040 Brussels on Thursday, November 14th, 2013 from 1:30pm to 3.00pm. A cocktail-lunch will be offered at 12:30pm.
