This symposium will conclude a series of Media pluralism-related events organised in the UK in the aftermath of the Murdoch case. The organisers have decided to give the media pluralism issue a pan-European touch by organising the event in the Brussels hemicycle. 

 

The event is co-organised by the Honourable Society of Gray's Inn (London, United Kingdom); University of Leuven - IBBT (Leuven/Ghent, Belgium);  and the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (Florence, Italy). The Alliance internationale de Journalistes is also associated to the event as they will launch an ECI (European Citizens' Initiative) on Media pluralism as of September 2012.
