METU Center for Wind Energy (METUWIND) and TU1304 WINERCOST Action are pleased to announce "1stINTERNATIONAL WINERCOST CONFERENCE" Wind Energy Harvesting: From Aeolian Farms to Cities of the Future to be held in METU Ankara Campus, on April 21-22, 2016.

WINERCOST 2016 will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of different aspects of wind energy and wind energy technologies in urban and suburban built environment in order to enhance the concept of Smart Future Cities.

In addition, one of the biggest on-going projects along the lines and the scope of the WINERCOST Action, is the recently launched Aeolus4future project. The project is financed by the EU-Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Programme which has provided 15 grants for early stage researchers (ESR). The ERSs are enrolled in the Innovative Training Networks, which is the joint research training programme mainly organized by the WINERCOST members. In this context, a special session will be organized within the WINERCOST conference to provide opportunity to ESRs to present their projects for first time to the international community.
