Location: Council of the European Union, Luxembourg
The Agriculture and Fisheries Council configuration brings together Ministers from all EU member states responsible for these domains, once a month. The Agriculture part of the Council covers principally the Common Agricultural Policy, the internal market rules, quality of production, food and feed safety and harmonisation of rules concerning agricultural and veterinary subjects. The Fisheries part of the Council involves principally the Common Fisheries Policy, the setting of annual Total Allowable Catches and quotas for each species.
