Objectives
This conference will debate the latest developments and challenges in the EU’s internal and external border management. At the heart of the conference will be the functioning and operation of the EU’s information technology systems for border management as well as border management issues related to the Brexit.

- The status of Schengen in the light of temporary border controls and irregular migration
- EU IT systems for border control and their interoperability
- State of play of SIS II, VIS, Eurodac, ECRIS-TNC, EES and ETIAS
- Border control through risk assessment and preventive vulnerability assessment

- Dealing with the Brexit border(s)
A visit to the village of Schengen and its European Museum Schengen will form part of the conference.
