Portugal is hosting the 2022 edition of the Transport Research Arena, TRA, Europe's largest mobility and transport research and technology conference.
Under the theme "Moving together, reimagining mobility worldwide", TRA 2022 will focus on innovative solutions for the global transport sector. Taking place at the Lisbon Congress Center, from November 14 to 17, TRA will bring together leading national and international experts to debate the present and future of mobility.
On the agenda there will be four major themes: intelligent solutions and society; green mobility and decarbonization; innovative infrastructures for Europe 2030; policies and economics for a competitive Europe.
Moving together – reimagining mobility worldwide
Dacing an ongoing transformation, the transport industry is becoming more modern, quicker and safer, while focusing on sustainable and digital solutions. In the European sphere, the implementation of sustainable and innovative means of transport plays an important role in the EU’s energy and climate objectives. Under the motto “Moving together – reimagining mobility worldwide”, TRA2022 will concentrate on innovation solutions within this sector.
TRA2022 offers the opportunity to reimagine, together, mobility worldwide and how to answer the major challenges that the transport sector currently faces. In particular, the TRA Lisbon 2022 will be built on the following pillars:
- Smart Solution and Society
- Green Mobility and Decarbonisation
- Innovative Infrastructure for Europe 2030
- Policies and Economics for a Competitive Europe
