EUSEW 2018 Policy Conference
Event Description
Organised by local public and private organisations, Energy Days are activities and events that promote clean energy transition. Energy Days take place in May and June. These events and activities can be organised throughout the EU 28 Member States. Any activity can be an Energy Day – from a workshop, to a competition, to a tour of a power station – provided it engages citizens and energy stakeholders in building the Energy Union.
The EU Sustainable Energy Week - EUSEW 2018 - takes place between 4th and 8th June 2018. The high point of EUSEW is the annual Policy Conference featuring leading figures and a diverse programme of sessions and side-events aimed at discussing and shaping Europe's energy future.
WHAT?
The Policy Conference is the most important European conference dedicated to sustainable energy policy issues. Sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders debate new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas, while networking events forge alliances. Outstanding projects are recognised at the Award Ceremony.
WHEN?
EUSEW2018 will take place from 5 to 7 June 2018.
WHERE?
Two venues host the Policy Conference in Brussels’ Schuman district: the European Commission’s Charlemagne building, and the Residence Palace nearby. The buildings are five minutes apart on foot.
WHO?
Public authorities, energy agencies, industry associations, businesses, civil society organisations and the media are all invited to take part in the conference. Past speakers and participants have come from city councils and the European institutions, private companies and research organisations, citizen groups and NGOs.
WHY?
If your work supports an economy built on clean, secure, efficient energy, this event is for you. The EU Sustainable Energy Week is an opportunity to meet stakeholders promoting energy efficiency and renewable energies, learn about successful policies and inspire innovation to meet the EU’s energy and climate goals.
