Future of work in the MET industries: Stepping up Vocational education and training!

Event Location
Event Description
The transformation of the MET industries driven by mega trends such as digitalisation, climate change, globalisation and an ageing society is heavily impacting the skills needs required for the MET sector to remain strong, innovative, competitive, sustainable and, thus, to continue creating quality jobs.
Ceemet and industriAll Europe have long been advocating for first-class vocational education and training (VET) strategies to support the MET industries in thriving and adapting to a fast-evolving world, as illustrated by our joint position on the New Skills Agenda.
Our joint event intends to showcase initiatives that social partners have been developing at national and European levels in these areas, in particular in relation to VET, work-based learning and apprenticeships in the MET industries. Our intention is to gather representatives from EU institutions, EU stakeholders, trade unions and employer associations.
