On Wednesday 14 September the President of the European Commission will take stock of the EU's achievements, the challenges that lie ahead and set the political direction of the European for the year ahead. At 8am the EC Representation in London will provide live coverage of the speech at Europe House (32 Smith Square, SW1P 3EU).
The speech will be followed by a panel debate and Q&A to reflect on the President's speech and to address the most pertinent issues from the UK's perspective. The panel will include key personalities from think tanks, business and the academic world. Anand Menon, Professor of European Politics and Foreign Affairs at King's College, Raoul Ruparel, Co-Director of Open Europe and Ian Bond, Director of Foreign Policy at CER, have already confirmed their attendance. The event will also be streamed, allowing questions to be asked through social media.
