All stakeholders with an interest in EU energy policy are invited on 21 June to a high level workshop hosted by Cefic - the EU chemicals industry - at the Brussels Press Club on “Challenges for an Energy Efficient EU”.

Attendees can listen to a debate from high-level representatives such as:

• MEP Markus Pieper, rapporteur on the EP report ‘Implementation of the Energy Efficiency Directive’, will share his views on ‘Does Europe have what it takes? A view on Energy Efficiency from the EU Parliament’.
• EU Commission DG ENER’s Paul Hodson speaks on ‘Creating a Healthy Framework for Energy Efficiency’
• Hear from the incoming Slovakian Presidency on how energy efficiency will become a top priority.

The EU chemical industry has been clear: increasing energy efficiency in Europe is a great opportunity to help in the fight against climate change while building new markets for smarter, energy efficient products and materials developed by our innovative industry.
