Event Description
ABOUT THE EVENT:
Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time. It is a complex problem, and addressing it demands extraordinary resources. Bold efforts will also be required to deploy potential solutions and to sell them to citizens across Europe. Still, the discourse on climate change and how to deal with it often seems to be held captive by wishful thinking and unrealistic solutions. For this reason, the EPP family needs to not only propose realistic, effective and smart solutions to climate change, as exemplified by the European Commission’s proposed Green New Deal, but also needs to assume leadership and their proper place in the debate concerning climate change. The need to care for and protect our environment is one of the core values of the EPP family. This event will focus on the latest edition of the European View, which discusses centre-right solutions to the issue of climate change. It will address questions such as: What is the role of the European youth in developing effective climate policies? How can sustainability be increased throughout Europe? And finally, how does the way in which different EU countries view climate change differ?
Registration and buffet lunch will start as of 12.00
