Learning the Lessons from COVID-19 for Women’s Health and Well-being
Section
Event Description
COVID-19 has had a big impact on women. From health and security to social protection, the impacts of the pandemic are exacerbated for women simply by virtue of their sex.
Yet, the COVID-19 crisis presents an opportunity to change the status quo. Gender specific policies are a necessity for an inclusive post-pandemic recovery.
We invite you on 17 June to join a diverse line-up of speakers, who will discuss perspectives on the gender dimension of the COVID-19 pandemic with the aim of identifying policy recommendations to ensure that the progress made over the past years on women’s health and wellbeing is not reversed by measures implemented to combat the COVID-19 crisis.
Speakers:
- Bathylle Missika, Head of the Networks, Partnerships and Gender Division; OECD Development Centre
- MEP Samira Rafaela (Renew Europe, the Netherlands)
- Peggy Maguire, Director General, European Institute of Women’s Health
- Neil Datta, Secretary, European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual & Reproductive Rights
- Susanne Fiedler, Chief Commercial Officer, Organon
- Nico Van Hoecke, President, Europe and Canada Region, Organon
The webinar is being co-hosted by Organon and European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights. This event aims to address our joint commitment to gender specific policies as a necessity for an inclusive post-pandemic recovery. We hope that you will be able to join us.
