Key speakers will include: several Commissioners, 30 MEPs, Prof. Anne Glover, Chief Scientific Adviser to the European Commission President, Prof. Burton Lee, Lecturer, European Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Stanford School of Engineering, Robert-Jan Smits, Director General, European Commission, DG Research&Innovation, Richard Pelly, Chief Executive Officer of the European Investment Fund, Kristin Danielsen, EUREKA Chairwoman, International Director of The Research Council of Norway, Former President of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, as well as the Rapporteurs for Horizon 2020, the Structural Funds and the MFF.
The 5th European Innovation Summit will not only focus on the implementation of the new instruments, but also seek to identify the remaining barriers to innovation and how they can be overcome to “make innovation happen” in Europe. A summit declaration, listing “5 calls to wake up Europe” will be presented during press conference and the Closing event.
Following the success story of the previous summits, when more than 300 speakers, including the Presidents of the European Parliament and the European Commission, and some 3000 innovation stakeholders from Europe and beyond engaged in the debate, we expect more than 700 stakeholders, policy makers, practitioners and academics to join.
We look forward to your participation in the 5th European Innovation Summit.
