Event Description

Join us on December 14 at 3 p.m. CET/9 a.m. ET for a panel discussion introducing the European Initiative for Energy Security (EIES) and its founding paper, which examines Europe’s strategic dependencies and vulnerabilities and sets forth recommendations for de-risking the energy transition, and safeguarding competitiveness.

Why it matters: In the wake of Russia’s weaponization of energy supplies, Europe needs a coordinated, whole-supply chain strategy for energy security to counter China’s chokehold over clean energy technologies and their associated supply chains and improve the competitiveness of European industry across all countries.

Europe must now embrace a vision and strategy for a more integrated industrial, energy and trade policy, built with likeminded countries, that ensures broader security, strategic autonomy, and long-term prosperity for future generations.

During the webinar, “Empowering Europe: Developing a Roadmap to Strategic Autonomy and a Competitive Energy Transition,” our panelists will discuss the path forward and the role EIES will play to convene the decision makers who can make this future possible.
