Save the date for ENTSO-E’s most forward-looking initiative! We are developing a comprehensive vision of a power system that will be the foundation of a fully carbon-neutral European economy. Our “ENTSO-E Vision 2050” will be presented during this flagship event taking place on 10-12 October 2022.

How can we accelerate the investments needed for the energy transition? Which sources of flexibility will be needed to support the integration of renewable energy sources? How will the grids of the future be operated? What type of electricity markets will best match consumers and producers’ needs?

The European energy system is undergoing a unique transformation underpinned by a challenging geopolitical context. The Green Deal and the Fit-for-55 package set ambitious 2030 policy goals and also pave the way to the long-term objective of a fully carbon neutral Europe. The current conflict in Ukraine highlights the urgent need for Europe to become independent from fossil fuels.

This initiative builds on our ground-breaking Vision 2030 project launched in 2019, and followed by a series of popular webinars held in 2020. With the ENTSO-E Vision Event we aim to open a series of discussions with all stakeholders, to build together the future of the European power system.
