Event Description
Economic regulation in specific industry sectors, including the telecoms sector, derives from competition law principles, with the underlying theory that sector specific economic regulation could be removed once sustainable competition has been achieved.
Cullen International’s two-day seminar focuses on the application of competition law concepts in the telecoms sector.
The seminar covers:
- the relationship between competition law and the approach to economic regulation in the telecoms sector, including the latest proposals that could change the trigger for ex ante regulation;
- the increasing importance of competition law in the sector, from industry consolidation and network sharing agreements to price and non-price abuses;
- in-depth analysis and understanding of the key competition law concepts applied in the sector;
- experience drawn from Cullen International’s database of competition law cases in the sector; and
- a chance to discuss and exchange views on competition law issues with Cullen International's trainers, external experts and peers.
