Starting shot for vaccines
Section
Event Description
Eagerly anticipated throughout 2020, COVID-19 vaccines are finally here. At the same time, their roll-out is posing substantial challenges across the EU and beyond, and as the number of available vaccines has grown, so has the number and prevalence of new emerging strains of the virus. Building up a diverse portfolio of vaccines to meet the needs of all communities in Europe, as well as uniting across sectors and borders in the vaccination effort, has never been more important.
This first webinar in a series of digital roundtables, organised by EHFG in partnership with Valneva under the heading ‘United immunising against COVID-19’, will look back at successes and roadblocks experienced in acquiring and administering the first COVID-19 vaccines, as well as forward, armed with the lessons learned. Join us and a panel of high-level experts to discuss a sustainable vision for the future of COVID-19 vaccinations and register now!
Webinar speakers:
- John Ryan, Director Public Health, DG SANTE, European Commission
- Thomas Steffen, State Secretary, German Federal Ministry for Health
- Beate Kampmann, Director of The Vaccine Centre, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
- Odile Launay, Director, Clinical Investigation Center in Vaccinology Cochin Pasteur Paris and Coordinator of the Vaccinology Research Network (I-REIVAC)

If you have any questions for the speakers, ask them during the event via the webinar Q&A function, or email us in advance at info@ehfg.org – or tweet with #UnitedImmunising and @GasteinForum.
