Event Description
On 16 and 17 October 2014, the 3rd Nantes Meeting on Public Services proposes to deepen the discussions held in Nantes since 2012, focusing on the principle of subsidiarity and the governance of public services. Two European personalities will share their views and expertises during the debates: Rosa Pavanelli, General Secretary of Public Services International (PSI), and Michel Delebarre, former President of the Committee of the Regions.
16 October: Conference and debate "Public services and Europe (18:00 - 19:30)
Public services are a matter that concerns all citizens, whether they are users or stakeholders (volunteers from associations, professionals or public service officers, etc.). The current debate, however, seems to be reserved to a close circle of experts far removed from the real-world concerns of citizens.
The aim of this public conference is therefore to open a genuine citizen debate around the topic by allowing Nantes citizens and a panel of European and local stakeholders to exchange ideas.
