Event Description

Objective: While the full impact of the crisis is yet to be seen, a recovery plan and adjusted work programme have recently been proposed by the European Commission. This event aims to convene some of the leading voices that are needed to bring the recovery plans to life in order to contribute in the short term to the recovery of the textile industry following the pandemic and -in the medium-long term- to make it re-emerge with an even stronger commitment to accelerating the circular economy, both regionally and globally.

The recently launched Policy Hub publication with recommendations for a green recovery for the European apparel and footwear industry will be presented during the event. The Policy Hub is a joint effort of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry and Global Fashion Agenda.

Download the publication and read more about Policy Hub.

Target audience: This event will bring together high representatives from the EU institutions, the fashion industry, the civil society as well as from intergovernmental and international organisations.
