The European Commission Digital Agenda aim to shape a Europe fit for the digital age. Health is one of the key areas that needs to be digitalised for patients, healthcare providers and healthcare systems benefits.
Medicines for Europe believes that in this context the regulatory systems can have a pivotal role. As in the Pharmaceutical Strategy, there is a need to make the lifecycle management of medicines more efficient and adapted to digitalisation.
This webinar will focus on the need for a profound digital transformation of regulatory systems. Experts will discuss how to invest in a robust digital infrastructure that would connect EU and national authorities. This can enable faster and prompt responses to everyday tasks as well as critical situations, such as shortages of medicines. The discussion will also draw from lessons learned during the outbreak of COVID-19.
